Income Generating Activities CRAFTS
Craft-making was Rafiki’s first self-sustaining project. Today, students within Rafiki’s Polytechnic Program are taught traditional and modern handicraft skills such as weaving, woodwork, tailoring and dressmaking. Throughout the year, we complement the program’s curriculum with opportunities to apply the skills practically in such a way that students make and sell products that provide them with a small income to meet some of their needs.
Craft items are sold locally, in Nairobi, and internationally. To buy or to find out more about any item, please contact us at info@rafikiwamaendeleo.org.
